The Global Awakening - 600BC

I was reading through the timeline at sacred-texts.com recently and noticed the amazing "spiritual awakening" around 600BC.

And of course a certain family heading in a boat over to the American continent.

The "West" of course was still scrabbling around. 610-570 Sappho was starting to write romantic poetry, but Plato would take another 300-400 years to turn up.
